Marigolds can be sown straight in the ground where they are going to flower, so make sure the soil you sow is weed free by using a trowel to remove the weeds. Or if using the peat free compost discs provided, simply add water to expand the discs, once expanded put in the peat free pots and add the seeds. Please stand the pots in a dish or container of some sort.

Inside; Once the seeds have germinated plant the young plants directly into soil. The peat free pots can be just planted directly in the soil with the plant but you may need to thin out the young plants to allow more space to grow (30cm apart) .

Outside instructions; Rake the soil to a fine tilth (a fine, crumbly texture) and make some drills 12mm deep. The rows should be spaced about 30cm apart.

Sprinkle the seed in carefully and cover them up with soil. If the plants are crowded as they grow, thin them out to about 30 cm apart.

Sow the seeds in Spring but don't forget to use the label provided inside or out.

The petals from marigolds are edible and can be added to salads – why don’t you try them!

Attractive to bees.

Height: 15 - 30 cm
